Casting for Recovery - A Breast Cancer Support Retreat

Casting for Recovery

Casting for Recovery, CFR, provides an opportunity for women whose lives have been profoundly affected by breast cancer to gather in a beautiful, natural setting and learn a new skill, catch and release fly-fishing. All the while building new friendships. Casting for Recovery retreats incorporate counseling, educational services and promote physical and mental healing.

Casting for Recovery has 45 retreats in 33 states. This is our 16th year of providing support to those affected by breast cancer. The retreats are staffed by trained all-women volunteers, some who are breast cancer survivors and all who are passionate about fly-fishing and this program. Thru our sponsors and donors and fund-raising efforts we are able to provide these retreats at no cost to the participants.

This year, Casting for Recovery has two retreats in Northern California: August 10-12 at Mount Shasta Resort, Mt. Shasta, CA and September 21-23 at Indian Creek Lodge in Douglas, CA. Each retreat is just 14 women, so it is quite personalized and fun.
