San Francisco AANCART

In 2000, UCSF AANCART was formed and consisted of representatives of 10 different Asian ethnicities, including Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Korean, Laotian, Japanese, South Asian Indian, Thai, and Vietnamese. SF AANCART meetings are held on a quarterly basis and structured as a training seminar for researchers and community members to come together and discuss Asian American cancer health disparities. SF AANCART also sponsors mini-grants opportunties for projects aimed toward cancer awareness in the community.
