Asian Americans are at high risk for being infected with Hepatitis B. About 1 out of 10 Asian Americans have Hepatitis B, and a majority of them are not aware that they have an infection. AANCART, in collaboration with the Paul Hom Asian Clinic, received a grant last year from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to screen 1,000 Asian Americans in Sacramento County for Hepatitis B.
